Shaitaan Box Office Collection Day 8: Stays Quite Good On 2nd Friday, Crosses 5 Crores Mark

This was what was expected from the film and it has happened indeed. Shaitaan was showing a good trajectory right through the weekdays, and the need of the hour was that on its second Friday as well, the drop isn’t much there when compared to Thursday when 5.82 crores had come in. The expectations were that the 5 crore mark would be crossed all over again on Friday and this is what has happened with 5.25 crore* being collected.

That now further reaffirms that the Vikas Behl-directed supernatural action drama is here to stay since it isn’t as if the film has held on because of no competition. There is Yodha as well, which has brought in some footfalls, and then there is Bastar, too. Latter may not have made any dent in the collections but then it has taken some screens and shows for sure. In addition, there is the Hollywood release Kung Fu Panda 4 too, which has been released and again, though it hasn’t collected much, it does give audiences a choice.

Considering all of this, if Shaitaan still emerges as the highest-grossing film of the day then it does go on to show how well it has been received by the audiences. The Ajay Devgn and and R Madhavan starrer currently stands at 86.85 crores* and is comfortably placed to go past the 100 crores mark by the close of the second weekend.

*Estimates. Final numbers awaited
