In the heartfelt Instagram post, Shakira extended her wishes to all mothers and shared a glimpse of a musical session with her kids, Sasha and Milan.
Shakira, the renowned Colombian singer, is already doing rehearsals with her children, Milan and Sasha, who have undoubtedly inherited her love and passion for music. This is evident from their recent involvement in the music video for Acrostico, where they shone as the stars, showing their innate talent. The children’s musical ability was further highlighted in a recent social media post by Shakira, celebrating Mother’s Day on May 12. In the heartfelt Instagram post, Shakira extended her wishes to all mothers and shared a glimpse of a musical session with her kids. In the post, Shakira is captured singing into a microphone, accompanied by Milan on drums and Sasha on bass.
The image is an example of the bond between the singer and her children, showing a moment of pure joy for the trio. Shakira’s message on the post expresses her gratitude and love for her children, referring to them as “the two suns of my life.” The singer’s deep affection for Milan and Sasha is evident, as she expresses her excitement to celebrate the special day with them.
Her caption in Spanish translates to, “Today I want to celebrate all the women who give and nourish life, because we all, with or without children, know how to care for and fight for those who depend on us. And to Milan and Sasha, the two suns of my life, thank you for illuminating it and completing me.”
This heartfelt moment comes amidst Shakira’s recent musical project, including her latest album titled Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, which has resonated strongly with her female audience. The album’s lyrics celebrate female power, autonomy, and sensuality. It was released on March 22 this year.
However, Shakira has also been in the news for other reasons, notably regarding alleged tax evasion charges in Spain. An investigation was launched in July by Spanish prosecutors, who claimed that Shakira had allegedly used a series of companies and tax havens to evade €6.6 million (approx. 55 crores) in taxes in 2018. Despite Shakira’s payment of the full amount to settle any debt with the Spanish government, the investigation continued, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Last week, the probe was reportedly dropped due to a lack of evidence, with investigators saying that there was no “intent to defraud” on Shakira’s part. The court ruled that while there were some “irregularities” in her tax return, they did not constitute a criminal offense.
