Sharmila Tagore Calls Grandson Ibrahim Ali Khan Film ‘Nadaaniyan’ Not Good!
While talking to Anandabazar Patrika.com on YouTube, she didn’t hold back when talking about Ibrahim’s first film, Nadaaniyan – a Netflix rom-com where he starred opposite Khushi Kapoor. The film was widely trolled online, and Sharmila didn’t sugarcoat her thoughts.

“Ibrahim’s film was not good, but he still looks very handsome. He has tried his best. These things shouldn’t really be said in front of everyone, but honestly, the picture isn’t great. Ultimately, the picture has to be good,” she said honestly.
When it came to Sara, she had only good things to say:
“Sara is a good actress. She works very hard and is capable of doing a lot more. She’ll also achieve that,” Sharmila added.

Ibrahim also shared his thoughts in an interview with Filmfare. He wasn’t upset—in fact, he seemed to understand where his grandma was coming from.
“She saw it. Like we were talking earlier about how it is tough now than it was earlier. I’m sure my dad has his own views on how he found it hard being my grandmother’s kid. And my grandmother was a big name. She was a very big superstar. So my dad had that pressure. And I think my grandmother saw him not doing so well in his first few movies,” he explained.
“So it’s something that she already knows. It’s like something she’s already been through. And what have I truly done right now? Yeah, fine. I’ve got one movie out there. But what does that even mean? She thinks I have it in me and that’s all I need to know.”
So, even though Sharmila was honest about the film, Ibrahim’s taking it in stride—with a lot of maturity and charm.
