Shilpa Shetty and Govinda have a deep, long-standing friendship, glimpses of which are often found in their social media posts for one another. Even during their appearances outside the movie premieres or at various events, their camaraderie never seems to take a back seat despite being in the film business for so many years. They have worked together in several films, including Pardesi Babu, Gambler, Hathkadi, Chhote Sarkar and Aag. Today, on December 21, as Govinda turns a year older, the actress penned a lovely wish for him.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Shilpa Shetty posted a lovely photo featuring Govinda. The snap was from the sets of an event attended by both of them. They were grooving to the beats of a song while enjoying themselves to the fullest. The candid moment is a testament to their profound friendship and unbreakable bond. Sharing it, Shilpa added a “Happy Birthday” sticker and penned a note atop it, “To everyone’s forever HERO #Not @govinda_herono1 Wishing you love happiness and great health alwaysssss.”

Govinda once shared a hilarious reaction from Shilpa Shetty after he accidentally shot himself. This occurred when the actor graced Kapil Sharma’s show and opened up about an unfortunate accident. While delving into the details of the incident during the show, Govinda revealed how Shilpa had reacted to it. He stated in Hindi, “When Shilpa came to meet me, she first asked me, ‘ChiChi, how did you hurt yourself? Where was Sunita?’ I told her, ‘Sunita was out; she was visiting a temple.’”

The actor, known for his comic timing, then revealed that Shilpa had queried whether he was shot by his wife, Sunita. “She then asked, ‘Who shot you then?’ (laughs),” he explained. Govinda’s revelation left everyone in splits on the Kapil Sharma Show.

For the unversed, Govinda was rushed to a hospital in Mumbai on October 1 after he had accidentally shot himself in the leg. As per reports, the actor was alone at the time of the incident, that is, early in the morning between 4:45 and 5:00 am, as he was getting ready to travel to Kolkata. After being discharged from the hospital, he talked about the incident to the press, stating, “I was preparing to leave for the show… for Kolkata. It was around 4:45-5:00 am. Woh giri aur chal padi (the revolver fell and misfired). I felt a jhatka (I was shocked) and then saw… there was a fountain (of blood).”
