Following the record-breaking success of Stree 2, Shraddha Kapoor will be collaborating with Tumbbad director Rahi Anil Barve on a distinctive, high-concept thriller.

A source says, “Shraddha has been in talks with Ekta Kapoor for multiple films and one of them is a high-concept thriller developed by Rahi Anil Barve. The script is locked and Shraddha was bowled over by the uniqueness that Rahi’s story has to offer. She is all excited and believes that the yet untitled thriller could be a perfect follow up to Stree 2.”
The source also shared that Rahi Anil Barve will dedicate the next three to four months to pre-production, with the film expected to go on floors in the second half of 2025. “Alongside the thriller with the Tumbbad filmmaker, Shraddha is in advanced talks for a romantic film backed by Ekta Kapoor, to be directed by Aashiqui 2’s Mohit Suri — marking her on-screen reunion with Aditya Roy Kapur. A few other projects are also being explored, but details are being kept tightly under wraps for now,” the source added.
According to our source, Shraddha is expected to take on at least two projects before diving into the third installment of the Stree franchise. “There’s a possibility she might make cameo appearances in upcoming films from Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe, but Stree 3 is still a while away from going on floors,” the source shared.
The film with Rahi Anil Barve is slated to begin production around July or August 2025.
