Shruti Haasan Makes SHOCKING Revelation About Relationship With Alcohol: ‘I Have Zero Regrets’

Shruti Haasan got candid about her thoughts on alcohol and drugs in a recent interview.
Shruti Haasan needs no introduction. She creates quite a buzz on social media every time she uploads a new photo. The actress always stays in touch with her fans and keeps sharing glimpses of her personal and professional lives. Shruti who has been a part of both Bollywood and regional cinema recently made a shocking revelation about herself regarding her relationship with alcohol.
During a conversation with Untriggered with Aminjaz, Shruti Haasan shared, “I’ve been sober for eight years now. So, it’s hard to tolerate people in party situations when you’re not drinking.” “I have zero regrets, zero hangovers, and it’s just been the best to be sober for me. It might be a phase, or you might like doing it for the rest of your life, that’s chill.”
She also shared that she was never into drugs, “I was never into drugs, but alcohol was a big thing in my life. [After a point] It just didn’t serve me at all anymore, in any positive way. I was [always] hungover, and I always wanted to drink with my friends. So, I felt like it was more in control of me.” The actor shared that she distanced herself from people who constantly suggested partying to her and further exacerbated her drinking problems. She mentioned, “This, too, is part of being sober.”
Shruti Haasan was recently seen in the movie Waltair Veerayya. The action-drama film directed by KS Ravindra also featured Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja in the pivotal roles. She will next be seen in the upcoming Telugu-language action thriller film Salaar, written and directed by Prashanth Neel. It stars Prabhas as the titular character, along with Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy and Ramachandra Raju in the supporting roles. The movie is said to be a spin-off of the KGF film series and a part of the KGF universe.
