Sitaare Zameen Par will be ready by the middle of 2025 says Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan will next be seen in the sports drama Sitaare Zameen Par. The film was slated to release on Christmas 2024, as Christmas marks the most successful release date for the superstar. However, the film couldn’t be ready in time and had to postpone its release to 2025.

Aamir Khan, who was present at the Red Sea Film Festival 2024, gave a small update on the film’s release date. Aamir shared that he will soon dive into post-production for the film, which will be ready for theatrical release by the middle of the year.

“We are moving into post-production later this month. We expect to have the film ready for release by the middle of next year,” Aamir Khan told Deadline during an interview in Jeddah.

Many people have been discussing Sitaare Zameen Par as a sequel to Taare Zameen Par—his 2007 super hit co-starring Darsheel Safary. However, that’s not entirely true. The film has thematic similarities but does not feature the same characters or story. Confirming the same, the Ghajini actor said, “It’s a fresh set of characters; a completely new situation and plot. Thematically, it is a sequel to Taare Zameen Par.” Based on his words, it seems the film will be ready by summer and will likely release in summer or after June.
