Sonali Malhotra on facing body shaming and cut-throat competition in Influencer World
Influencer Sonali Malhotra who is a Beauty & Fashion Blogger from Mumbai since the past 8 years talks about on how she faced body shaming on social media motivated her to talk and post more contents on body positivity. She starts by saying,”Trolls mainly, the fact that it’s so hard for people around to accept a woman’s body and the fact that big boobs are normal, after all the progress and times that have changed as a fact, it still takes a lot for people to come to terms with different bodies.”
Talking about how she dealt with body shaming Sonali tells,”A LOT of it, specially related to big boobs, it’s hard for people to understand that 70% of women have bigger breasts, it’s absolutely normal, I dealt with it in a way where I decided I will post more, I’ll wear what I want & I’ll actually talk about it, maybe that will get them to stop talking.”
There’s too much competition with so many influencers being out there does which tends to puts a pressure on bloggers / influencers somewhere of looking perfect or having perfect body on social media.
Vocalizing her views regarding the same she stated,”Definitely yes, the industry is growing and you need to keep your content, yourself and your trends relevant and updated, being super active is another must and being in the talk is only possible when you create content.”
On giving message to youngsters who aspire to be an influencer she shares,”Keep it real. The more real you keep it and share your honest opinion on things, dress how you’d like in any case and just not succumb to society pressure, will give you self satisfaction.”
