Rhea Chakraborty was accused of aiding Sushant Singh Rajput in suicide after his death. It was over a month that she was incarcerated.
In response to a query about whether or not she administered narcotics to her late partner, actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Rhea Chakraborty has spoken up. In an interview with India Today, Rhea also discussed whether she achieved closure three years after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Rhea also talked candidly about how people sometimes respond with pathetic eyes on seeing her.
Close Player Rhea on how people respond after seeing her
During an interview with India Today, Rhea stated, “Honestly, when I enter a room, you can see it in their expressions. I can feel the pity in their eyes as they wonder, “Kaise zinda hai?” (How is she alive?) while others look on encouragingly and say, “We’re rooting for her; she should go on.” I can understand what other individuals are thinking throughout the talks. They look at me and think, “She doesn’t look like a criminal,” sometimes. At the same time, I can sense that mental process. Is it any of my business? No way, no how”.
Rhea discusses closure
Rhea said, “I don’t think closure is the right word” when referring to moving on. There isn’t any way to find a resolution after something like this. The problem is, I had a loss of my own. That is something that will never be resolved. It consumes your life initially, and then your life expands to accommodate it. However, it will be permanent. It’s always handy to have on hand. You can put it out of your mind, but it will keep returning to nag at you. Could you not assume I’ve disappeared? So I’ll never have that kind of finality. However, it has altered my point of view.
About drugs, Rhea opens out
Rhea denied providing medicines to Sushant when questioned about it. She said she is “done with this issue. Neither drugs nor NCB are topics I’m interested in discussing. CBI is not something I wish to discuss”. After a long chat with her doctor, she brought some humour to the otherwise dismal subject of her mother’s impending death.
Concerning Sushant
The actor’s death date was June 14, 2020. His body was discovered at his Mumbai home. A complaint of suspected abetment to suicide was brought against Rhea by Sushant’s parents. Her WhatsApp messages have also sparked a separate investigation into whether or not she was involved in drug procurement.
The NCB has accused Rhea under Section 27-A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, which refers to “financing and harbouring illegal drug trafficking”. The cases filed against her were related to an investigation into narcotics that involved Sushant, and the Bombay High Court granted her bail.
