Vicky’s period drama Chhaava was all set for a thunderous clash at the box office with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa sequel in December 2024.

Pushpa 2 is releasing in theatres on 5th December 2024 and Chhaava was supposed to be out a day later on 6th December 2024. However, reports suggest that Chhaava team will be picking another release date to avoid this potential big clash!
“Chhaava is an ambitious project for the stakeholders, production house, director Laxman Utekar, and its lead star, Vicky. It makes sense to release it when no other film is scheduled to air,” a source revealed.

It remains to be confirmed if Chhaava will be postponed or pre-poned. An official announcement is awaited.
About Chhaava
Laxman Utekar’s Chhaava is the retelling of the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, starring Vicky Kaushal in the titular role. It is based on a Marathi novel by Shivaji Sawant. The film will revolve around the Maratha king’s reign and his conflicts with Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.
Rashmika Mandanna will be seen as Sambhaji’s wife, Yesubai Bhonsale. She is also reprising her role in Pushpa 2.
