Karan Johar is striving each day to be the best parent for his children, Yash and Roohi. Time and again, the filmmaker has opened up about his life with the children as well as the struggles he faces being a single parent. Recently, the trio were spotted at the airport heading for a family vacation. Karan, Roohi and Yash choose to wear matching outfits. The family of three sported black casuals. While the kids wore white tees with a black jacket, Karan chose a black shirt and trouser for his airport look.

They briefly posed for the paps before entering the airport. Karan Johar had twins Yash and Roohi through surrogacy in 2017. He is a single parent raising his children with his mother, Hiroo Johar, who is 81 years old. The kids turned seven in February this year.
Recently, in conversation with Faye D’Souza, the filmmaker shared that his kids are growing up and have begun questioning their mother. Karan shared that he has sought professional help to deal with this including reaching out to their school counsellor. Karan stated, “It is a modern family. It is an unusual circumstance, so now I am also dealing with the questions about ‘whose stomach was I born in? But mumma is not mumma really, she is my grandmother’. I am going to school, to the counsellor, to ask how we navigate the situation. And it is not easy, being a parent is never easy.”
As he strives to maintain balance in his family, the filmmaker often shares some adorable moments spent with his children. Some time back, he took to social media to share a video of them trying to do beatboxing. The director was surprised by his children’s effort and commended them. He wrote, “Not sure this is beat boxing! But marks for effort always! They are born to a dada who has zilch musical talent and can’t sing or play an instrument ! So I am hoping beyond hope I haven’t transferred my musical genes!!!!!” The clip started with little munchkins trying to ace the trick of beatboxing, while Karan Johar’s voice could be heard in the background.
