During a recent interview with Femina, Kiara Advani opened up on facing criticism for playing the role of Preti Sikka in the film, ‘Kabir Singh.’ For the unversed, the film revolves around Shahid Kapoor and Kiara’s love story. Despite achieving massive success, the film received backlash for showcasing toxic masculinity. However, Kiara pointed that if she had disliked her character, she would have never played the role in the film. She said:
“We need to accept that there are all sorts of people. We can’t cancel everyone.” The actress agreed to the fact that the film was to some extent objectionable, sparking conversations about unhealthy relationships. However, in response, Kiara mentioned that it is necessary to learn from such situations in one’s life.

The actress during the same interview talked about her opinion on doing interesting competent plot films. The actress shared:
“I have started making movies where the role is exciting and fulfilling as an actor, but, at the same time, it is a film that you can watch with your entire family, and it still leaves you with a thought.” For the unversed, the film, ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’ revolves around the divorce issue majorly between Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani.
