Catfights happen quite frequently in the showbiz. While some actresses are compared for their looks, others face clashes over their acting chops. Apart from this, there are also tiffs regarding dating the same guys. Something similar happened in the 90s between two top actresses, Aishwarya Rai and Manisha Koirala.
Aishwarya began her career as a model. During that time, she was rumored to be dating her colleague Rajeev Mulchandani. Though the actress had always maintained that she was only good friends with him, a report in a magazine stated that Rajeev had ditched Aishwarya for Manisha. This made the actress really angry.
She talked about the same in an interview and revealed that she called up Rajeev the moment she came to know about this. Aishwarya asked him to keep her away from his love story. She also mentioned that after two months, Rajeev and Manisha weren’t seeing each other. She alleged that Manisha was seeing a different guy every second month.
Slamming Manisha further, Aishwarya disclosed that the former made many false accusations on her which left her completely shocked. She shared that Rajeev informed her about Manisha claiming she’d discovered some love letters that Rajeev had written to her. That came as a very rude shock to the latter. She cried like crazy and was hurt miserably with all that was happening around me.
Aishwarya claimed that after splitting with Rajeev, Manisha had innumerable affairs. She said that Manisha criticized even her seniors like Rekha and Sridevi, all of which reflected her poor personality.
Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai appeared last in ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ while Manisha was seen in ‘Shehzada’.
