When Ranbir Kapoor ‘Zoned Out’ While Filming Rockstar’s Kun Faya Kun Song: ‘I Was Singing And…’
Since his film Animal was released in theatres in December last year, Ranbir Kapoor has been all the rage. His fans cannot stop gushing over his stellar acting prowess, and Animal’s humungous box office collection is proof of the same. Amid this fanfare, an old clip of the actor from the sets of Rockstar has gone viral on social media.
The viral clip features Ranbir shooting the popular Kun Faya Kun song from the superhit Imtiaz Ali directorial film Rockstar. However, what has caught everyone’s attention is how Ranbir ‘zoned out’ to the soulful melody of the song. In the clip, Imtiaz and Ranbir are also featured talking about this moment much later.
Imtiaz said to Ranbir, “When Ranbir looks up, it is beyond what I could have told you.” The actor responded, “I was just singing the song and the camera was just moving and it captured something which I think I will always get a lot of credit for. It’s not something I deserve.”
AR Rahman said in the video, “Zoned out. It was beautiful.” Lyricist Irshad Kamil, who was also in the video, said, “In the middle of that, I called Imtiaz and I told him that something else is happening and you please come here and be a witness of what is happening here.”
Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor left his fans pleasantly surprised after he signed Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Love And War With Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The film reunites Bhansali and Kapoor after 17 years and marks the filmmaker’s first film with Kaushal. The new film was announced on Wednesday, January 24.
The film is reportedly a love story, but Sanjay Leela Bhansali will hit a pause on his signature period frames with this project. The film is slated to release on Christmas 2025.
